A picture of the “occupied” floor at Condé Nast.
I temped in Condé Nast’s Digital Department yesterday. At first I went to the wrong floor and, though it was still part of Condé Nast Digital, was met with a corporate abyss of dark and empty rooms. I went up a level and was happy to see the lights on but still had troubles getting inside as every door was locked. I made some calls, only got voicemails, but was finally able to get in as a mailperson was leaving. I later learned all of the receptionists were fired. The security in the building was above average, requiring that bags go through an x-ray and the aforementioned locking down of every door. Of course, there is little to protect, aside from office furniture.
